Paola Lecanda

Paola Lecanda is a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE), Behaviour Support Educator, author, and mother of three, with over 25 years of experience nurturing children’s hearts and minds. As an active member of her faith community, she is dedicated to forming children in virtue, faith, and character.

She is the founder of Mater Boni Consilii Academy, where she serves as Dean of Academics and Dean of Formation, leading a classical Catholic education rooted in tradition and excellence. Born in Santiago, Chile, Paola has taught in private and Catholic schools across Chile and Canada, supporting children’s holistic development emotionally, spiritually, and intellectually.

With extensive experience supporting children with autism and diverse learning needs, her work emphasizes patience, compassion, and respect for each person’s dignity. She collaborates closely with families and educators to foster emotional growth, academic success, and spiritual formation.

Fluent in Spanish, English, and Italian, with knowledge of French, Paola is also a visual artist and owner of P.L.A. Artwork and Painting Creations. She is the author of A Fairytastic Patch for Kiki(self published) The Art of Grace; Christ-Centered Manners and Etiquette for Everyday Life , and Nootella the Squirrel and the Greatest Christmas Gift, creating Christ-centered resources that inspire children to grow in virtue and faith.
