Gwen Meding

Gwen Meding’s life in ministry began long before she ever put pen to paper. A retired X ray technician and devoted wife to Deacon Ed Meding, they celebrated fifty years of marriage in 2026 - a journey marked by faith, family, and shared service. Together they raised five children, welcomed six grandchildren, and walked side by side through Ed’s diaconate formation.

Gwen’s ministry has touched hearts through Scripture, prayer, and quiet perseverance. Since the early 1980s, she has been leading and writing Bible studies—long before Catholic resources were easy to find. Her three volume Bible Study Companion to the Sunday Readings, along with her other works, continues to guide people into a deeper encounter with Christ.

Over the years, Gwen has offered retreats and presentations on Prayer, Redemptive Suffering, and How to Give a Testimony. She also continues to train others to begin Bible study groups, extending her ministry through the formation of new leaders.

In 2022, Gwen partnered with Alice Murray to promote and sell faith-filled books and to connect with other authors. That collaboration grew, and in 2024, Perpetua Press Publishing was founded.
